Halocarbon 6.3 Oil

Halocarbon 6.3 oil is a low molecular weight polymer of chlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE). This inert oil is manufactured by a controlled polymerization process and then is stabilized to give it some unique properties.

This oil is nonflammable, chemically inert and safe for oxygen, chlorine and most reactive gas services, as well as Lewis acids and aggressive oxidizers. It has good lubricity, high thermal stability, and low compressibility.

Halocarbon 6.3 oil is one of the lower viscosity inert oils that is manufactured by Halocarbon Products. A cost-effective substitute for Galden heat transfer fluids commonly used in semiconductor manufacturing and testing, Halocarbon 6.3 oil is also typically used in applications including inert instrument fill fluid and as a mechanical seal oil. In tests following ASTM standards, Halocarbon 6.3 exhibits better dielectric performance vs. Galden HT270. Please see the SDS for more details.
