Description

Halocarbon Mechanical Seal Life-Extension Fluid is recommended for use to temporarily extend the service life of leaking mechanical seals. Halocarbon MSXT provides plant operators with a short-term solution to complete critical processes or operations in a safe and reliable manner by minimizing seal leakage in between routine or scheduled maintenance shutdowns.

Halocarbon MSXT is specifically formulated to high viscosity and is designed for use with other Halocarbon Mechanical Seal Barrier Fluids. Halocarbon MSXT can be added directly to a barrier fluid reservoir to retard the rate of environment-side or process-side leakage of barrier or process fluids.*

Halocarbon MSXT is available either with or without a corrosion inhibitor.

*In cases where seal failure results in large openings to the process, the system will necessitate a shutdown to ensure safe operation.
