Analytical Chemist
Halocarbon, a world-leading producer of specialty fluorochemicals is seeking candidates for an excellent opportunity as an Analytical Chemist in our North Augusta, SC site. The Analytical Chemist is a salaried position and is responsible for supporting Halocarbon’s technical projects and investigations from an analysis perspective. This role will support the Specialty Chemical and Pharmaceutical Production Processes at Halocarbon and operates on a Monday – Friday daytime schedule (40 hours/week minimum).

Successful candidates must possess, as a minimum, the following competencies, skills and/or abilities:
- Troubleshoot analytical laboratory equipment malfunctions.
- Utilize technical knowledge to train colleagues.
- Participate in and/or manage product improvement projects.
- Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on lab equipment and instruments.
- Prioritize and perform material and data review.
- Set up and/or perform maintenance on laboratory instrumentation.
- Develop and/or optimize analytical test methods.
Masters or PhD in Chemistry, as well as leadership experience, is preferred. Relevant work experience will be considered and cGMP and/or quality system knowledge is desired. All candidates must successfully complete extensive third-party reference checks, a criminal background investigation, a comprehensive medical examination & drug screen.
