Halocarbon Hires David Canitz as Technical Service Engineer

25-year specialist in synthetic lubricants and specialist in mechanical engineering

Halocarbon, a leading producer of high-quality fluorochemicals and inhalation anesthetics, announces that David Canitz has joined the Engineered Fluids division as a Technical Service Engineer.

Canitz brings over 25 years of experience in synthetic lubricants to this position. His knowledge of rotating equipment systems and technique in facilitating valuable distributor and customer relationships present the company with an invaluable advantage going forward.

Prior to this position, Canitz has most recently worked at High Performance Lubricants for four years, where he provided sales, applications, and tech support in the processes and applications for synthetic lubricants, oils, and greases. In addition, Canitz has spent over two decades at Royal Purple working with synthetic lubricants and rotating equipment as Technical Services Manager and International Sales.

Canitz claims he is honored to join the team at Halocarbon and is “grateful to have the opportunity to continue to learn from experts and further [his] career. As a Technical Service Engineer, Canitz’s primary responsibilities include offering expertise regarding the specifics of Halocarbon’s product portfolio and providing technical assistance to the sales team members and customers to support the growth of Halocarbon’s Engineered Fluids business.

Canitz holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University and has earned a professional certificate from the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE), which recognizes his advanced knowledge in lubrication. Canitz obtained the STLE Certified Lubrication Specialist (CLS) certificate and was one of the first 35 individuals to earn the STLE Oil Monitoring Analyst (OMA) certificate. The team is thrilled Canitz, a distinguished professional in the field, has taken his talents and skills to Halocarbon.
